"I read a lot of reviews both good and not so good prior to booking and here’s what I can say. We loved the place. While it’s an extremely large, sprawling place it was also quiet and very enjoyable. There was a wedding taking place by the marina. The Abbey is kid friendly but also romantic for couples. In some of the reviews people discussed the upkeep. Sure they could do some updating and repairs but with the size of the resort, we felt that it was in very nice condition overall. Lots of parking, several pools (indoor and outdoor) plus hot tubs. There are a couple restaurants, a bar, live music and a coffee bar. We stayed in building 4 which was in the middle and very walkable to everything at the resort. The staff were very very friendly. Thank you for a nice overnight getaway, we will be back."

"240 West was one of the best parts of our vacation…..the food was excellent, the view of the harbor was picturesque, BUT our angel of a waitress, Andrea, was the reason, exclusively that we returned for a second breakfast. Her attention to detail was fantastic; her waitress skills were superb ~ but it was her kindness and personal touches that set her apart from others and made us want to stay for a third, even fourth cup of delicious coffee, both mornings. May you never lose your genuine kindness, Andrea! Thank you for adding to our memories of an absolute lovely sisters get-away at The Abbey Resort!"

"We had our wedding at the Abbey Resort June 20 and could not recommend it enough. Our ceremony was on the harbor lawn under the gazebo, and it was absolutely stunning. The backdrop with the lake in the background was very special too, I don't think there are many other places on Lake Geneva you could incorporate the lake as well! Leading up to the ceremony, Jonathan was a joy to work with and made sure our day went perfect. There were a few weddings on the property the same day as ours (which we figured for a June wedding in LG!!), and Jonathan made us feel like the only/most important people there and we never even saw the other groups because of his excellent planning. The entire staff was so kind and professional, it was clear they are experts at hosting events like this. We also had a great experience with the room block, it was easy to work with Ann who sent us updates as people reserved their rooms. Keanu at the front desk was also so helpful to us and our guests as they passed out wedding favors as people checked in. Overall, it was wonderful! Thank you Jonathan and the rest of the team!!!"
