Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elkhorn - Lake Geneva Area by IHG

"This HIE had a lot going for it but, I took off a star because of a couple of inconveniences. The room was very well lit and I really appreciate that. The entry could use a brighter bulb but aside from that it was a very bright room. The property looked well maintained and the staff were friendly. One inconvenience was the temperature control that is motion activated. Our room was very warm upon check in because there had been no motion in the room for quite some time. During the night the temperature also did not stay at the set even though I was told even slight movement turns on the unit. I agree with "green" but need to find a way to make sure the guest has a comfortable nights sleep. Second inconvenience - we have stayed at a LOT of HIE's and I have never experienced cinnamon rolls that were not warm when brought out for guests. They were actually cold and I was told to give them 5 minutes and they would be warm. They weren't warm and soft like most experiences. Not sure why they weren't warm to start with. And, of course, they are something we look forward to at our HIE stay!"

"nice clean, new rooms. The friendly staff at the Front desk is knowledgeable and always available to assist you any way they can. I spent a lot of time there as I worked close by and they all knew my name and greeted me everytime they saw me. They made it feel like a home away from home. Would highly recommend staying here for both business or leisure."

"Very clean, comfortable room. Comfy bed, quiet except for the person above us who walked like a herd of buffalo but that's not the hotel's fault. Definitely somewhere I will return in the future."
